Rhonda designed our kitchen, butlers pantry and mud room in January 2022. She designed the space using Crystal Cabinets in all three areas. Rhonda has an amazing ability to truly listen and understand your wants and needs. Our kitchen had so many obstacles with four door openings and she designed a dream kitchen that far exceeded our expectations for the space. She has an incredible eye for design. We loved her so much that she just completed our main bedroom closet (using Crystal Cabinets again). Once again her vision brought our once sad little space to life.
I had a tree fall on my house in December. I went through a friend to get a recommendation for repairs. The company that came to cut down the tree did more damage so I relied on my insurance company to recommend someone local and I was put in touch with Nurzia construction. CJ was so helpful and attentive in coordinating the work and dealing with my insurance company! Once the work started, Rob managed the project with a great team of skilled workers! Initially the roof and siding had to be repaired. Thanks to the hard working team that did a great job! My 101 year old mother lives in the house and everyone was very accommodating to get her living space quickly back in order! Everything looks brand new! Shout outs to Mike H., Freddie, and Mike S. for your professionalism and attention to detail and also to Derek and James for the stellar paint job! Thank you Nurzia!!!! We hired Nurzia Construction to rebuild our home after two bedrooms and the garage were damaged after a pipe broke. I couldn’t begin to express my gratitude for the professionalism and workmanship provided by Nurzia. These guys were great. They understood the sense of urgency to get the work done with the highest level of quality. Everyone was punctual, approachable and really good listeners. I would hire them again in a nano second. We had our house built some 21 years ago. In those years we did little to update, maintain it….the kitchen was aging, the appliances needed to be repaired, the walls needed to be painted, the floors had settling “humps” and the rugs were old. We met Rhonda from Nurzia Construction at a Home Show in White Plains and we hit it off right away. They came to our house, listened to our thoughts, made suggestions and came back with an initial design that was incredible. They took into consideration our large family gatherings that happen throughout the year and our new lifestyle preference of a second Master Suite on the first floor.
They were careful to explain and review all of our construction and finish costs before the project started. So, although the project ended up going above our budget, it was definitely worth it. Our colonial home’s entire first floor was remodeled. The living room is now a first floor bedroom, the half bath is a full bath with a beautiful walk in shower. The dining room is now closed off from the living room (now new bedroom) and the kitchen is enormous with two seven foot islands. The rugs are gone and replaced with beautiful hardwood flooring. Their tradesmen were incredible too, particularly their carpenters, tilers, flooring and plumbers. The job began in mid-June with the demolition and did take until mid-September to complete. Although it took this long, a lot was done and it was painless. As there are always issues with a job of this magnitude, Nurzia was excellent in addressing and resolving the issues immediately. Our project manager Jim, who came on board from sheetrock to finish was always on top of the process and kept us in the loop. Communication was great. They were always thinking of us along the way. They spent the time with us from the beginning, through design, working with their suppliers for hardware, lighting, cabinets, paint, plumbing, tile, etc. Finding a company like Nurzia that executed this large project from the beginning to end with only minor issues along the way was a blessing. They are personable, caring, professional and a pleasure to work with

My Project Manager got trades in on time, and when wrong materials were delivered, he quickly identified the mistakes and got the vendors to supply the right things promptly. He researched features that were new to him and was careful to comply with installation requirements as well as those of government inspectors. The Residential Division Manager was efficient, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and patient. She was hands-on, available for questions, and was wonderful to bounce design ideas around with. Moreover, she knew when I had to make a decision immediately and when it was better to delay a decision. She had foresight about what would be comfortable and convenient, and my trust in her judgment was validated when I began living in my house. Nobody at Nurzia uses the word “No.” Every request or situation elicited an, “Of course you can,” or “We can look into that and let you know.” The staff were on-time for all appointments, never forgot a detail, and routinely kept me informed of progress. They invested a huge amount of time, meeting me weekly for over eight months, and they took great care with my records, presenting me with clear bills, and at the end of the project, a dossier full of every single set of manufacturer’s instructions, warranties, and other matter related to all aspects of maintaining my house. Nurzia Construction Company is absolutely worth every penny.
